About

I’m Chef Caroline Millet. I’ve spent over twenty years in kitchens, classrooms, and catering trucks, and the thread running through all of it is the same: I love teaching people how to cook and sharing how confidence in the kitchen improves their lives. Not just learning to follow recipes, but the habits that make a kitchen run well, whether that’s a home cook getting comfortable with a knife for the first time or a teenager learning to prep, plate, and clean like a pro.

My path started at Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago and has taken me through boutique catering in the San Francisco Bay Area, a wine bistro in Berkeley, private chef work and instruction, and to my adopted home of Seattle. Along the way I picked up a business and marketing degree, worked in event planning and marketing, became a Matchmaker and Dating Coach (!), which all turned out to be just as useful as my culinary training. It’s a big part of why I’ve been able to build programs, not just teach classes, all couched in the foundation of building connection and community.

These days I’m focused on culinary education, developing curriculum and running programs that meet students where they are, whether that’s an eight-year-old learning their way around a stove, or an adult home cook looking to get more confident with seasonal, local ingredients.

How can I help you?

Instruction

Teaching is where I do my best work. I’ve built and run culinary programs for adults and teens alike, from single workshops to weekly series, always grounded in local, seasonal ingredients and real kitchen habits, not just recipes. I’ve developed curriculum from scratch, managed classes of up to 30 students, as well as hired and trained the assistants who help run them. Whether it’s a teenager learning to prep and clean like a professional or an adult cook getting comfortable with a knife for the first time, I build lessons that stick because they’re rooted in how a working kitchen actually runs.

Cooking

Two decades in kitchens across the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle gave me a wide range: catering for weddings and corporate events, private chef work, a wine bar kitchen in Berkeley, and menus built for groups from 10 to 800. I trained at Le Cordon Bleu, and my cooking has always been about precision paired with flexibility, knowing a menu well enough to adapt it on the fly for a client, a season, or a room full of students.

Event Management / Marketing

Good food is only half the job. I plan and manage events end to end, menu development, purchasing, costing, staffing, and the logistics that keep an event running smoothly under pressure. I’ve done this for intimate dinners and events with hundreds of guests, and I bring the same organization to a one-time workshop that I do to a multi-week program with its own hiring, scheduling, and budget. Private or corporate events, from weddings to seminars, pressure is when I thrive.
